One of the fastest ways to submit your resume to a recruiter or employer is through a resume bank on the Internet. In a matter of seconds, your resume can be deposited directly into a company's electronic hands.

There are four types of resume websites:

• Individual company websites (e.g., Kaiser Permanente's recruitment page at kaiserpermanentejobs.org)
  
• Niche websites, which specialize in targeted markets such as geographic (e.g., bayareacareers.com), profession (e.g., bankjobs.com), or industry (e.g., dice.com)
• Recruiting websites that are open to the public but also serve the recruiting function for companies (e.g., accolo.com)
• Large public resume banks (e.g., CareerBuilder at www.careerbuilder.com)
